Opera has launched a new desktop browser Opera One. This web browser is future-ready and will feature generative AI-based features in the coming months. The company is releasing an early access version of the browser. It will be released for Windows, MacOS, and Linux later this year. Opera One will replace Opera’s flagship browser.

Opera One is a Chromium-based browser that brings a new UI with Modular Design Principles. The new design makes it modular to make it different from other Chromium-based browsers.

The browser has a feature called ‘Tab Islands’ that groups tabs automatically based on context. For example, if you open multiple tabs related to restaurant menus and locations, they will be clubbed together. Each group of tabs will be represented by a vertically colored pill that can expand and collapse with a click.
