Corning has unveiled its newest Gorilla Glass Victus 2, the successor to Gorilla Glass Victus launched in 2020. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 promises to deliver improved drop performance on rough surfaces and good scratch resistance.

The company claims that Gorilla Glass Victus 2 can survive drops of up to one meter on a surface replicating concrete and can survive drops of up to two meters on a surface replicating asphalt.

It also promises up to 4 times better scratch resistance than competitive aluminosilicate. The company also demonstrated scratch resistance in a video where the competing product fails to withstand half the force.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is currently being tested and is expected to be available in the market in the next few months.
