Gorilla Glass maker has just announced its all new ‘Gorilla Glass Victus‘ that can resist a 2 meters drop. This is also Corning’s toughest glass ever and said to be the most notable improvement in Gorilla Glass since 2014.

Gorilla Glass Victus can survive the fall on a hard surface from 2 meters (6.5 ft) while a non-Corning glasses shatter in drops from just 0.8 m.

There’s no Gorilla Glass 7, that means Gorilla Glass Victus is the successor to Gorilla Glass 6. Victus is both drops and scratch-resistant. As per claims, Gorilla Glass Victus is twice the scratch resistance of Gorilla Glass 6 and has 4 times the resistance of competing glass.

Samsung will be the first customer to adopt the newly launched Gorilla Glass Victus. So, we can expect the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra launching on August 5 to feature this new tough glass.
