Reliance Jio has announced the launch of its 5G series across the Delhi-NCR region. Jio users living in this region can now start using 5G services in 5G-enabled smartphones.

The company has already confirmed that users do not need a new SIM for using the 5G. Their existing 4G SIM will also support the 5G network.

Jio confirmed that the 5G network has been rolled out in all notable localities and areas invading residential areas, hospitals, schools, colleges, government buildings, malls, markets, and more. If you have a 5G-enabled phone, you need to recharge with a Rs 239 or a higher plan to use 5G services.

Not all 5G phones can instantly connect to the 5G network. Some phones including Apple’s iPhones still require a software update to enable 5G connectivity.

5G services were launched in India on October 1 at IMC, 2022. Airtel and Jio have launched 5G services in select regions across the country. Reliance Jio has promised to bring 5G across the country by December 2023. Airtel is expecting to cover the whole nation by March 2024.
