God of War Ragnarök has become the fastest-selling PlayStation title to date. The game sold 5.1 million copies in the first week after the launch. This is a historic landmark for both developer Santa Monica Studios and publisher Sony.
PlayStation Studios head Herman Hulst confirmed this milestone on Twitter and congratulated the God of War Ragnarök developer for this achievement.
If you compare it with previous games, God of War (2018) sold over 23 million copies on PlayStation 4 and PC as of November 2022. This was also Sony’s biggest launch on PC to date. This is the reason we can expect God of War: Ragnarok for PC.
God of War: Ragnarok is a AAA action-adventure game released on November 9. The game also saw good responses from critics. It also has a 94 percent score on Metacritic. The game has also been nominated for Game of the Year awards in several categories.
