Microsoft Office was originally released back in 1990 and became an important part of most people’s lives. Now the company has decided to rebrand Office to Microsoft 365. Beginning in November 2022, Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office app for Windows will become Microsoft 365 apps.

Microsoft has confirmed that there will be no change to your existing account, profile, subscription, or files. Your apps will automatically get a new icon and name. There will also be no change to Office 365 subscription plans.

Microsoft bundles Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and OneNote applications under the office suite. These apps will still retain their individual names under the new branding.
