GoPro has refreshed its action lineup with the launch of GoPro Hero 11 Black and GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini. Not much has changed in design but the company has improved specs and performance.
GoPro Hero 11 Black
GoPro Hero 11 Black looks similar to its predecessor. It has a dual screen: one at the front and another at the rear to use as a viewfinder. The company has used a taller 1/1.9-inch sensor that can capture 27MP photos. It also features a Full Frame shooting mode that can capture content in an 8:7 aspect ratio at 5.3K. The camera captures photos and videos in 10-bit color.
Hero 11 Black can record 5.3K videos @ 60FPS and 4K videos @ 120FPS. Both the recording resolutions support GoPro’s SuperView mode. The camera now also features HyperView mode that creates a 16:9 output.
The company has also improved its HyperSmooth stabilization. With a 360-degree horizon lock feature, it helps you keep the subject leveled with respect to a specific horizon point.
The camera packs a removable 1,720mAh Li-ion Enduro battery.
There is also a Hero 11 Black Creator’s Edition kit that turns the camera into a vlogging rig. You get Volta extended battery grip, Media Mod with a directional mic, and the Light Mod in this kit.
GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini
GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini is the smaller version of the camera. It is pocketable with dimensions of 52.4 x 51.2 x 38mm and weighs only 133 grams.
Hero 11 Mini doesn’t feature any touch display. It just comes with a tiny display at the top locked next to the shutter button. This display shows video capture mode, battery life, and a few other information.

The camera features a 24.7MP sensor and can record 5.3K videos at 60FPS. It also supports 1080p live streaming.
Hero 11 Black Mini is waterproof up to 10 m. It packs a non-removable 1,500mAh Enduro Li-ion battery and you need to plug in the camera for charging it.
The mini model has two sets of built-in mounting fingers. So, you can easily mount the camera on more things like bodysuits and helmets.
