Snap to introduce paid Snapchat subscription called Snapchat+

Snap is working to launch a paid subscription called Snapchat+. This subscription will give users some early access to features and other abilities on the messaging platform.

An app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi shared some screenshots of Snapchat+ on Twitter. He also confirmed the list of abilities users will get with the paid subscription.

  • Pin a friend as a #1 BFF
  • Get access to exclusive Snapchat icons
  • Display a badge in your profile
  • See your orbit with BFF
  • See your Friend’s whereabouts in the last 24 hours
  • See how many friends have rewatched your story

Screenshots also confirm the Snapchat Plus pricing. It will cost 4.59 EU for a month, 24.99 EUR for 6 months, and 45.99 EUR for 12 months. Pricing could be changed when Snapchat+ becomes available to all users.

A Snap spokesperson responded to TheVerge and confirmed that Snapchat+ is in early internal testing.

Recently, Telegram also confirmed that it is working on a premium subscription. Twitter already has a Twitter Blue subscription.
