Ola also begins 10-Minute Food Delivery

After Zomato, Ola has also started testing 10-minute food delivery. The company is now offering select food items including khichdi, pizza, and rolls as a part of the test in select parts of Bengaluru. The company will use its grocery delivery wing, Ola Dash, to deliver food items in 10 minutes.

As per reports, Ola has partnered with robotics startup Mukunda Foods for the dast delivery. Mukunda Foods offer machines that reduce cooking time for several Indian and Chinese dishes by between 20 to 50 percent. It is worth noting that Zomato earlier invested $5 million in Mukunda Foods for a 16.66% stake in the company. Mukunda Foods offers services to top cloud kitchens and is also playing an important role in Zomato Instant.

Ola is currently testing this service in Bengaluru. If it seels positive results, the service is expected to roll out in other metro cities.

Zomato also recently launched its 10-minute food delivery service Zomato Instant. Soon after the service was announced, several people criticized the company for putting delivery people’s life at a risk. So, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal tweeted to explain how the 10-minute food delivery service works.
