At a time when most grocery delivery startups are rushing to offer 10-minutes delivery service, Zomato has announced 10-minute delivery of food ‘Zomato Instant’. Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal tweeted to confirm that the company will launch 10-minutes food delivery next month in Gurgaon.
The company will offer 10-minutes delivery in select locations where it can actually full fill the promise. It will use demand predictability and hyperlocal preferences to house the best seller items at finishing stations. So, delivery partners will not have to wait for an order to be prepared by the restaurant. Now it will be interesting to see how the company manages the freshness and quality of food.
“The fulfilment of our quick delivery promise relies on a dense finishing stations’ network, which is located in close proximity to high-demand customer neighbourhoods. Sophisticated dish-level demand prediction algorithms, and future-ready in-station robotics are employed to ensure that your food is sterile, fresh and hot at the time it is picked by the delivery partner,” the company notes in the blog post.
He also insisted that the safety of delivery agents will not be compromised. The service mainly focuses So the company won’t put pressure on delivery partners and Zomato will also not penalize them for late deliveries.
