Starting this week, Netflix will start testing a special video feed for kids in its iOS app. The company calls it “Kids Clips.” It will be a dedicated section with an interface similar to TikTok or Instagram Reels. The primary difference is that Kids Clips is being designed to be viewed in landscape mode.

Kids Clips will feature short clips taken from its library of children’s content. There will be also a limit on the content. Users can watch 10 to 20 clips in a single sitting. This sounds like a sensible decision because this feature is dealing with a younger audience.

Bloomberg was the first to report about this feature. It also shared a screenshot of the Kids Clips interface.

In its previous earnings reports, Netflix called TikTok a major competitor. With Kids Clips, the company is actually exploring a way to be into short-form content.

Netflix will start testing Kids Clips this week in several markets including the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and Spanish-speaking Latin America. For now, it will only be available in the iOS app. There is no information on when the feature will be rolled out to iOS users.
