Previously, there were rumors that OnePlus won’t launch the OnePlus 9t series this year. Now the company has officially confirmed it in the press briefing of their unified OS announcement. There won’t be any OnePlus 9T or OonePlus 9T Pro this year. There won’t be the OnePlus 9T series, but other phones will be there for sure.

OnePlus is also merging the codebase of OxygenOS and ColorOS to develop a unified OS for the upcoming flagship next year.

OnePlus has been releasing a T series of phones since 2016. The T series is basically an incremental upgrade to its existing flagships. Mostly, there’s only a processor upgrade.

Although the company didn’t confirm any name, other releases may include the rumored OnePlus 9RT. OnePlus 9RT could be a slight upgrade over the OnePlus 9R. It could come with a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 870, 50MP Sony IMX 766 primary camera, and 4,500mAh battery.

OnePlus 9RT could launch next month. A recent leak from OnLeaks claims that the phone could be unveiled n October 15. This phone could be only for Indian and Chinese markets.
