Researchers from Quick Heal Security Labs found Joker malware in eight popular apps hosted on Google Play Store. Google has already removed these apps from the Play Store. If you have any of these apps installed on your phone, delete them now before it is too late.

Here is the list of apps affected by Joker malware.

  1. Auxiliary Message
  2. Fast Magic SMS
  3. Free CamScanner
  4. Super Message
  5. Element Scanner
  6. Go Messages
  7. Travel Wallpapers
  8. Super SMS

Joker is one of the most harmful malware that affects Android apps are is used by hackers to steal the data of Android devices. This malware collects personal information such as device info, contact list, SMS, and OTPs. This malware can also evolve itself to bypass security norms of the Google Play Store.

If you use Android device you should always download apps only from trusted sources like Google Play Store. Avoid downloading apps that promise too much. Avoid downloading APKs from unknown sources. Always see what permissions the app is asking for. You should also download a good Antivirus on your Android phone.
