Samsung has just announced its latest rugged smartphone Galaxy XCover 5. This smartphone is made to use in tough work environments. The phone is shock-resistant and can survive shock, dust and water.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a rugged exterior that makes it shockproof. The phone can survive and withstand drops from up to 1.5 meters. It is IP68 certified to make it water-resistant. The phone can be submerged under a meter of water for longer than 30 minutes.

The phone features a 5.3-inch HD+ LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The display has Wet Touch and Glove Mode. That means you can use the display from wet fingers and even with gloves on.

It packs Exynos 850 Octa-Core 8nm processor with Mali-G52. Galaxy XCover 5 has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with an option to expand storage up to 512GB. The phone runs on Android 11 with Samsung One UI 3.1 out of the box.

Galaxy XCover 5 features a 16 megapixels rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 5 megapixels selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It packs 3000mAh removable battery with 15W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is priced at £329 in the UK and €289 in Europe. It will also be released in other countries of Asia and Latin America.
