Google has today announced that it is now rolling out Apple Music to Google Assistant-enabled smart devices. These smart devices include Google Nest smart speakers and other Assistant-enabled smart speakers and smart displays.

This update makes Google’s smart speakers worthy competitors to Apple’s Home Pod and Alexa-enabled smart speakers. Amazon brought Apple Music support to Alexa-enabled devices back in 2018.

To play music from Apple Music, you need to first link your Apple Music account in the Google Home app and then select Apple Music as the default music streaming app. After doing this, you just need to say, “Hey Google, play New Music Daily playlist,” or a similar command. Users can also ask Google Assistant to play music based on genre, mood, or activity. You can also ask the Assistant to play your library of songs by saying voice command, “Hey Google, play my library.”

Apple Music has a big portfolio of songs and it allows users to have up to 100,000 songs in their music library. Subscribe to Apple Music and enjoy on-demand, ad-free streaming.

Google is rolling our Apps Music support to Assistant-enabled smart devices in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, and Japan.
