Tinder launches in-app event ‘Swipe Night’ in India

Tinder has finally launched its interactive event ‘Swipe Night’ in India. The feature will be available in the country starting September 12. It was initially launched in the US last year and was scheduled to launch in India in March, but delayed due to Pandemic.

Swipe Night is a story-based interactive event where users have to select one out of two options and the story will go forward based on their decisions. Users will get matches with people who also deleted the same answers.

Swipe Night’s content aims the Gen-Z crowd (18-24) that also makes the largest user group of the app. When the feature was launched in the US, the app received a positive response. Total matches increased by 26% and messages increased by 12%.

Swipe Night will roll out on three successive weekends, starting at 10 am local time every Saturday and will be live until midnight on Sunday. This will only accessible on weekends. The event will take place live right inside the app. You will also get notifications inviting you to join the adventure. Your choices from the story will be added to your profile.
