Rooter, the popular sports community platform, introduced a game streaming feature on its app back in early May after it saw increasing interest in gaming during the early days of lockdown. In just one month, the app already got success in onboarding 50000+ gaming streamers.

Game streamers are streaming popular games like Free Fire, PUBG, PUBG Lite, and Call of Duty but Free Fire seems to be the popular choice of streamers. Now the company is aiming to scale the platform and bring more features for gamers. One of the upcoming features is to allow the community to host tournaments on the app.

The average time spend on the Rooter app is nearing 20 mins. It shows that users are not on board but they are spending time and engaging with the content.

Rooter is competing against other popular game streaming apps including Nimo TV, Rheo TV, and Loco.

Rooter began as a Sports community app with gaming content, and news. Primary focus was cricket. After the lockdown, the app introduced game streaming option to attract mobile gamers on the platform and got success in it.
