Google rolls out dark mode for Docs, Sheets, and Slides on Android

Google has finally brought dark mode support to its popular office apps Docs, Sheets, and Slides for Android. If you have an Android phone running Android 10 or later, the dark theme should automatically activate if your phone is using a dark theme.

If you want, you can also enable or disable dark mode for individual apps. For this, tap the Menu button, select ‘Settings’, and then ‘Choose theme’. Even after you have enabled the dark mode, you will have an option to see the preview in the light theme. Just tap on the ‘more’ button on the upper right and select ‘view in light theme’.

Several users prefer using the data theme because it feels comfortable, especially at night.

Dark theme is now being rolled out starting today. It is available to all G Suite customers and users with personal accounts. If may take a couple of weeks before it is available on everyone’s phones. The dark theme is only for Android users, and there is no word when it will be available for iOS users.
