Apple has also redesigned the search and it is now called Universal Search. It can be used to find app launchers, contacts, documents, and even for searching within the apps that support it. The existing search could do most of these things but Apple has now made it look and sound like Spotlight on the Mac.

The iPad is also getting better support for handwriting with Apple Pencil. The Scribble feature will convert handwriting in any text field into actual text. For now, it works with English as well as Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

Incoming calls on the iPad will now appear as a small notification. It will also be the same for Calls on other VoIP apps.

Now iPad users can also set default email and browser apps. The compact Siri design on iOS 14 is also coming to iPad OS. Several apps are getting updates and performance improvements.
