After Duo, now WhatsApp is also increasing the participants’ limit in group video calling. Soon, up to 8 people can have group video calling on WhatsApp. The current limit is 4 participants.
WhatsApp is now rolling out this in beta versions of iOS(2.20.50.25) and Android(2.20.133) across the globe. Once the beta test is successful, stable versions will get it.
All the participants need to have the supported version of WhatsApp on their phone to be a participant in the group video calls with 5 or more people.
Recently Google’s Duo also increased participants’ limit to 12. Houseparty allows 8 participants. WhatsApp is the most popular video calling app and certainly, this new change will be welcomed by users.
