Samsung Galaxy Fold is now up for pre-bookings in India. If you are interested, you can pre-book the phone from Samsung India eShop and various other channels.

Samsung Galaxy Fold is priced at Rs. 1,64,999 for 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. You have a Premium Cosmos Black color option. It comes with bundled with the Samsung Galaxy Buds headphones. Customers can also avail the one-year Infinity Flex Display Protection at a discounted price of Rs. 10,500. This includes accidental damage coverage with one-time protection, display, expert repair service, and genuine parts.

Galaxy Fold is a unique kind of phone one can buy but is also risky at the same time. When it was initially launched, several reviewers complained about issues they faced with the device. Some displays broke after just hours of usage. So the company delayed the launch. After it relaunched the device in US< Brian Heater of TechCrunch reports that his Fold broke after just one day of use.

So, there’s a risk of the broken display if you don’t use it carefully. Now think about a device you buy at a cost of Rs. 1,64,999 but in constant pressure of keeping it safe.

If I talk about specs, the phone has a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED panel with an HD+ resolution at the front. The foldable display is a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Dynamic AMOLED panel with QXGA+ resolution. It packs octa-core SoC and packs 12GB of RAM.

The phone has a triple camera setup on the back and a dual-camera on the front. There’s also a single selfie shooter on its cover. The triple camera setup includes 16-megapixel primary sensor with an ultra-wide f/2.2 lens, 12-megapixel secondary sensor with Dual Pixel AF lens and variable f/1.5 to f/2.4 aperture along with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f /2.4 lens that enables 2X optical zoom. The dual camera on the front has a 10-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and an 8-megapixel secondary RGB depth sensor with an f/1.9 lens. The cover camera is of 10-megapixel with an f/2.2 lens.

It packs dual batteries with a total capacity of 4,380mAh and supports wired as well as wireless charging.
