Revolt Intellicorp has unveiled India’s first fully electric motorcycle Revolt RV 400 at an event in New Delhi. The bike will be launched next month, but rebooking will start on June 25. Interested consumers can pre-book the motorcycle through the company’s website by paying Rs. 1000.

The company has also set up a production facility in Manesar that has an annual production capacity of 1.2 lakh units.

Revolt RV 400 is an electric bike but looks similar to petrol bikes we ride. It has LED headlamps and a fully digital instrument cluster. The bike comes in two colors – Rebel Red and Cosmic Black.

Top speed of the bike has been capped at 85kmph. It comes with disc brakes at both wheels. Front has an inverted fork and rear gets a monoshock

There is a companion app to control and offer most of the things. This motorbike starts on a tap of the button in the app. The app also shows battery charge status. You can also get information if there is anything wrong with your bike.

The full charge battery takes the bike to 156 KM and it can be charged using a 15-ampere socket. The battery takes four hours to fully charge. You can take this battery out and charge it at home if charging facility is not available in your parking area. The company has also made available battery swapping facility. When your bike’s battery is low, you can either go to nearest battery swapping station to swap a battery or order it from the app to get it delivered at your home. The app is used to locate a swap station or order a swap battery.

It has AI to analyze your riding pattern and other data. Then it uses the same data to improve battery performance.

This is an electric bike, so it shouldn’t produce engine sound. But bikers love the sound of their bike. So, the company has added an artificial engine sound with an ability to change the sound. The app has 4 different engine sounds but one can download more in the app.

Price of the bike and other details will be announced next month. So, we will have to wait for around a month to know how much a customer will have to pay for getting this electric bike.
