Ola Electric has unveiled two new electric scooters, the S1 Z and the Gig range. These scooters are the most budget-friendly offerings from Ola yet. Ola has designed these affordable scooters to cater to both individual commuters and gig workers.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal announced the launch on X (formerly Twitter).

Ola Gig is designed for Gig Workers. It comes in two variants: Ola Gig and Ola Gig+. Gig offers a range of 112 km per charge and a top speed of 25 kmph. It packs a removable 1.5 kWh battery powered by a hub motor. Ola Gig is priced at Rs. 39,999 (ex-showroom). Gig+ is priced at ₹49,999 (ex-showroom). It offers a range of up to 157 km with the dual-battery option and a top speed of 45 kmph. This scooter packs a single or dual 1.5 kWh battery.

Ola Gig is mainly for business-to-business (B2B) users who can use it in their delivery fleets.

Ola S1 Z has been designed for urban commuters and can be used for personal and commercial usage. It also comes in two two variants S1 Z and S1 Z+. S1 Z aims at personal use. It promises a range of 75 km per charge and a top speed of 70 kmph with dual removable 1.5 kWh batteries. S1 Z+ is for dual usage (personal and light commercial). It features a robust body and offers the same range and speed specifications as the S1 Z.

Ola S1 Z

Ola S1 Z is priced at Rs 59,999 (ex-showroom) and Ola S1 Z+ costs Rs 64,999 (ex-showroom).

Ola has begun accepting bookings for just Rs 499. Deliveries for the Gig and S1 Z are scheduled to begin in April 2025 and May 2025, respectively.
