Amazon Pay brings person-to-person payments on Android through UPI

Amazon Pay has announced the launch of person-to-person payments for Android customers. That means Android users can now make person-to-person payments using UPI on Amazon app.

After the new UPI integration, customers can now send or receive money to friends and pay for services like newspaper bills, electricity bills and more.

If you are an Android user, you can check Google Pay section of Amazon app. If you see UPI, you can make a new UPI ID for using the UPI feature of Amazon Pay.

Now Amazon Pay will directly compete against Paytm, Google Pay and PhonePe that already have P2P transactions on their platform. Amazon claims that the success rate of Amazon Pay is two-to-three percentage points higher than industry standards and they are working hard to make it 100 percent success rate.

Amazon Pay is also pushing for its offline presence. It has already introduced a ‘scan and pay’ services at Shopper Stop stores. Customers at Shopper Stop stores can use QR codes to pay using Amazon Pay.
