In 2018, few brands started using in-display fingerprint technology. Huawei was also one of them and integrated in-display fingerprint sensor on Huawei Mate 20 Series. Now the latest rumours suggest that the same tech is coming to its upcoming Huawei P30 series.

Huawei P30 series will be the first flagship phones from the company in 2019. So, using the in-display fingerprint technology won’t surprise us. Renders we saw recently also suggest the same. Huawei has reportedly chosen OLED panel for the series and that is definitely an upgrade over predecessors.

Renders also show waterdrop notch and a curved panel. Huawei P30 to feature a 6.1-inch OLED panel while P30 Pro to get the larger 6.5-inch display. Both the phone will come with HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC and 8GB RAM. Huawei P30 Pro is also expected to get a 12 GB RAM model.

Not just in-display fingerprint sensor reports also talk about periscope-style rear camera hardware for offering lossless optical zoom. A different report also claims that P30 Pro will feature a 38-megapixel Sony IMX607 image sensor with Dual Bayer technology and three-speed native sensitivity with ISO 50/ 500/ 5000. However, more details about the camera are yet to be revealed.

Huawei P20 Pro is still ruling the DxOMark smartphone camera with a score of 109. So, we are expecting the successor to be better in the camera department. Addition of OLED panel and in-display fingerprint sensor will also make the phones more attractive.
