Honor WaterPlay tablet with 8-inch display, dual rear cameras, Water-resistant body and 5100mAh battery announced
Honor has launched the new version of its existing Honor WaterPlay tablet, launched almost a year ago. The new Honor WaterPlay comes with an 8-inch display and improved specifications.
Honor WaterPlay comes with 8-inch WXGA display and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 5.1. It is powered by Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. It packs 4GB RAM and comes in 64GB or 128GB storage options. Storage is also expandable up to 256GB.
The tablet has a dual rear camera with 13 megapixels primary and 2 megapixels secondary sensor. It also has an 8 megapixels front camera.

There is also a fingerprint sensor located on the physical home button below the display. It is water and dust resistance with the IP67 rating. 4G LTE is optional. Other connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and USB Type-C. It also has stereo speakers with Huawei Histen 5.0 3D audio technology.
As the size is less, the new version packs 5100 mAh battery as compared to 6660mAh battery in original WaterPlay. The tablet also supports fast charging.
Honor has also dropped the 3GB/32GB model even while it reduced the screen size. The chipset is the same but the camera setup has also been upgraded.
The tablet comes in Gold and Silver colors. It is available for order in China and goes on sale from November 6.
