YU, Micromax-owned brand, has launched a new smartphone after a long time. The company has launched an entry-level phone YU Ace starting at Rs. 5999.
YU Ace features a 5.45-inch 18:9 Full View display with 2.5D Curved glass and Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW processor with 2 GB RAM. It has 16 GB of storage. There will also be a 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant in coming weeks. The phone runs on latest Android Oreo with close to stock experience.
YU Ace features 13 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixels front camera. It also features software based Face Unlock.
The phone also has a fingerprint sensor located on the back. It is a dual SIM phone. Other connectivity options include WIFI, GPS, Bluetooth and micro USB. The phone packs 4000 mAh battery.
Yu Ace will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting September 6..
Yu Ace will directly compete against Redmi 5A that is doing well in country. Xiaomi has also started teasing the launch of Redmi 6A. Other competitors including Infinix Smart 2 and recently launched 10.or D2.
