After testing the app for a long time, WhatsApp has finally launched WhatsApp Business App for Android. This app will help small business in connecting with their customers via WhatsApp. For now, the app is available for selected markets including Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S.

Small business can download the app for free and create a Business profile. The app is same as WhatsApp App but with a handful of specific features for business. Business can provide their business description, email or store addresses, and website to show on the profile.

The app offers features like quick replies, greeting messages, and away messages. Messaging statistics also help in understanding a lot about customer engagement. WhatsApp Business also supports WhatsApp Web. So, sending and receiving messages on the web will also be possible.

Businesses will only be able to contact people who provided their phone number and agreed to receive messages from the business. In this way, Business will not be able to spam any random person on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp will also bring enterprise solution for large business with the global customer base. But these enterprise tools will be chargeable and WhatsApp will finally start making Money.

The company didn’t mention anything about the launch of iOS platform. If you own a small business and want to use WhatsApp Business app, you can download it from Play Store and start engaging with your customers on WhatsApp.
