Apple India has quietly introduced international warranty on iPhone. It means you can buy the iPhone in any country and avail warranty service in India.
It is worth to note that it applies to the factory unlocked iPhone models, not to carrier-locked devices.
Apple always had international warranty on its other products but that list always excluded the iPhone. This new change in warranty will surely bring a smile on several Apple customers’ faces.
This is a good news came just before the availability of iPhone X. Apple’s iPhone modes are always costly in India as compared to US, Hongkong, and few other countries. Now you can get it from those countries via a friend and use without any worry.
Now we can also expect from other brands to follow the same way and offer global warranties on their phones in India.
As per the information available, this change is only in iPhone warranty in India. We are not sure if the same is applies to other countries as well.
