Instagram rolling out two-factor authentication for everyone

Instagram has finally announced the two-factor authentication for users. The company has been testing this feature with selected users for past few months.

It was initially announced almost a year back in February 2016. While we were expecting the feature soon, the company took 13 months to roll out this feature to everyone.

To enable the two-factor authentication, tap on settings icon at the top left corner. Check under “Account” list and tap on “Two-Factor Authentication” option. Once you enable this feature, you will be asked to enter the code each time you try to log into the app.

Instagram has also confirmed that it will soon start blurring out sensitive photos and videos. An additional tap will be required to check that photo or video on Instagram.

I personally recommend you all to turn this on and keep your account secure.
