Microsoft’s fitness band is no more. The company has also removed the SDK and stopped production of the band. Every listing and mention of fitness band have been completely removed from Microsoft’s store.

You can still buy Microsoft’s band 3 from Amazon until the stock runs out.

Microsoft has confirmed the news but says it’s still exploring wearables space. The company will also keep supporting Band 2 owners.

The first band was released in 2014 and company it to be the most advanced fitness tracker. But it was not so comfortable in design and never attracted too many customers. Microsoft brought second-generation model last year but it was also pretty much same and customers never took the interest.

Finally, the company has decided to leave the market to explore the more opportunities. This market has very tough competition for newcomers. Fitbit, Samsung, Garmin, Misfit, Xiaomi like companies are ruling the market with their products.
