The Nexus Launcher is now ‘Pixel Launcher’

Recent rumours suggest that Google’s upcoming devices will be Pixel and Pixel XL. Google has already planned to kill Nexus phones and new phones will be Google branded phones. Now, we have clear evidence that Pixel branding is actually real. Google has just renamed Nexus Launcher to Pixel Launcher.

There is no change in this new Launcher except the change in name. This can be seen as the first step of moving from Nexus to Pixel. Slowly, Google is retiring app Nexus branded things to adopt Pixel. This time, Google is aiming high and we can expect big from Pixel smartphones.

You can check these screenshots to have an idea of the user interface. If you are familiar with Nexus Launcher, you already know this launcher.

After this change, we can see the end of Nexus branding from everywhere.
