Today, Google is celebrating its 18th birthday. On this day, Google is running a campaign “Google For India” and has announced few things for Indian users. Google has introduced YouTube Go app for India. This app offers offline viewing and sharing of YouTube videos.

This India-only app is designed to keep Indian users in mind. It allows users to load and play YouTube video. With proper transparency and control over their data consumption, users will not have to worry about data usage.

This app is able to load videos even if you are running low internet connection. On the home screen, it shows popular and trending videos. Tap on the thumbnail to show quick preview before you watch a video. Users can also select the resolution of the video at the time of saving or streaming.

This app is not instantly available. Google will rollout this app for more people over next few months after getting initial feedbacks. You can signup for updates and Google will notify when the app is available.
