The Forbs has released their annual ‘Richest People in Tech’ ranking list for 2016. Bill Gates is at the top of the list followed by Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg. Azim Premji is the richest tech billionaire in India.
Azim Premji has been ranked at number 13 in the list with total assets worth $16.1 billion. HCL founder Shiv Nadar with total assets of $11.7 billion also made his way to list at number 17. No other Indian is on the list.
Overall, Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, is at the top of the list with net worth of $78 billion. Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos has been ranked at second place with $66.2 billion net worth. Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg has the net worth of $54 billion and he has been ranked number 3rd in the list of richest people in tech.
Google’s co-founders are also on the list. Larry Page from Google is ranked at 5 with the net worth of 39 billion and Sergey Brin from Google is ranked at 6th with $38.2 billion net worth.
Alibaba founder Jack Ma is the richest Asian with total assets of $25.8 billion.
In combined, these 100 tech billionaires is now $892 billion. If we compare it with the list of the previous year, it is an increase of 6%. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is the biggest gainer who added 18.4 billion to his assets this year.
China’s tech billionaires have made their way in this list and mostly new entries in this list are from China.
