Apple has finally launched its recently announced iPhone SE in India for Rs. 39000. This phone was officially announced last month with 4-inch display. While many people were expecting it to be a failure, we mentioned why this phone could be a big hit for Apple.
Apple iPhone SE features a 4-inch IPS LCD display with 640×1136 pixels resolution. It is powered by dual core processor with A9 chip. It features a 12 megapixels rear camera with LED flash, 4K recording and 5-megapixels front camera. It is packed with 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-FI, 802.11 ac, NFC, Fingerprint sensor and 1642 mAh battery.
The Apple iPhone SE comes in Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold color options. It is priced at Rs. 39,000 for the 16GB variant and Rs. 49,000 for the 64GB variant.
Most of the Indian people are disappointed with the pricing but this phone is packed with same features as in iPhone 6S except the screen-size. So, there was not much chance for Apple to sell it for lower cost.
After seeing the growing sales of iPhone 5S, Apple saw the demand of smaller iPhone. But it was a demand for cheaper iPhone. Now, iPhone 5S has been discontinued. So, people will have no option for iPhone 5S in coming. Now, it will be interesting to see how people respond to this new smaller iPhone SE.
