Ola launches boat service in flood-affected Chennai to rescue people in the waterlogged areas

Ola BoatIndia’s taxi booking giant Ola has come up with its new boat service to help people in waterlogged areas  of Chennai. Company has deployed boats along with professional rowers who will rescue people from flood affected areas to safer places.

Boat service also provide food and drinking water free-of-cost. Boats can ferry between five to nine people in a trip.

“Ola deployed boats in waterlogged and partially submerged areas on the basis of information from the Fire and Rescue department”, Ola said in a statement.

You will also see an option to book a boat in your app with estimated time to reach the boat to you.

Company has planned to offer the service for next three days but it will be extended if water-logging continues.
