Google And ASUS Launch Chromebit, Chrome OS Desktop On An HDMI Stick For $85

ChromebitEarlier this year in March, Google and Asus announced Chromebit to bring Chrome OS desktop on a stick. Now, both companies have confirmed the official launch of the product in market for $85. Chromebit brings a new way of using Chrome OS on any screen with an HDMI port. Just plug this device into HDMI port of any computer screen or that large TV and use your Chrome OS desktop.

This device 75 gram in weight and easy to carry. It is good for those people who are using Chrome OS or want to have a light-weight desktop involves work around web apps. It comes with a quad-core Rockchip SoC. So do not expect anything extraordinary. It is just good for normal works. Other specifications are 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 802.11ac Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0 and even a USB port. You will not get keyboard or mouse, so bring your own bluetooth keyboard and mouse to use with this PC.

Chromebit will be available from a various of retailers including Amazon, Fry’s and Newegg in the United States. It will also be launched in other countries including Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the UK in coming months.
