AskMe.com acquires online grocery marketplace BestAtLowest.com for $10 million

BestAtLowestAskMe.com is all set to foray in grocery market. It has acquired BestAtLowest.com, Delhi based online grocery shopping marketplace for $10 million.

As a part of the deal, bestatlowest.com team including co-founders Ankit Jain and Amit Nigam will join AskMe.com. Bestatlowest.com will operate as a part of AskMe.com and will expand its search capabilities. Askme.com is also working on its upcoming portal askmegrocery.com. This portal is expected to come later this year. At this time, it is redirecting to bestatlowest.com.

BestAtLowest was founded in 2013 by Ankit Nigam and Amit Nigam. It claims to list up to 7,000 products across all categories. It claims to deliver products deliver products within 4-6 hours in Delhi NCR region.

With this acquisition, Askme.com will now compete in online grocery segment which is going to become very competitive in next few months. Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, Paytm, Ola and many others are gearing up to jump in this segment. LocalBanya, Grofers, and PepperTap are already growing fast by raising good funds from investors.
