Myntra

Back in February, we reported that Myntra is planning to shutdown its website by the end of the year. But its seems Myntra has achieved its target much before the dead line. Myntra will shutdown its website from May 1. It will only be available via mobile apps. Myntra will be first Indian retailer to become mobile-only in country. If this becomes successful, Flipkart is also expected to follow this model soon.

Myntra has decided to shutdown its website because majority of its traffic and sales come from mobile apps. But many users will not be very happy with this move. Because there are still many people who prefer web for payments.

Both Myntra and Flipkart have already shutdown mobile websites and are redirecting visitors to mobile app download page.

There is no official confirmation yet. There is a 360-degree advertising and marketing campaign being planned by Myntra. We will soon get announcement of this big news.
