At its Build conference today, Microsoft has confirmed the name of its project Spartan. It is be called “Microsoft Edge.” Microsoft Edge will be the new browser which will replace Internet Explorer in Windows 10.
Microsoft Edge comes with minimalistic UI and advanced features. It will also support extensions like Chrome or Firefox. Microsoft also confirmed that developers will be able to bring their extensions available on chrome and Firefox to Edge with few modifications on existing code.
Microsoft also showcased few features of the Edge browser. Hovering a tab will show you the preview of site’s content. It comes with Cortana support. It also comes with built-in reader, note-taking, and sharing features.
