OnePlus Announces OxygenOS Custom Android ROM; OS build Will come on February 12

Back in December 31, OnePlus announced alpha release of its custom Android 5.0 Lollipop based build for OnePlus devices. Now, it has confirmed the name for the custom ROM as “Oxygen OS”.

Company also confirmed that it has also been developing a separate custom ROM for Chinese market called H2OS. Both ROMs will be similar with region-specific changes. Details will be announced on February 12.

Company will replace Cyanogen OS with its new custom Oxygen OS.

OnePlus decided to build its custom OS based o Android in November when Micromax-Cyanogen deal came to light. OnePlus also faced legal issues in India and sales of the smartphone were also affected due to ban placed by Delhi High-court. Later, Delhi High-court lifted the ban and gave three months to finish its stock.
