Instagram has just updated its video feature. Now, users can import videos from phone’s gallery and share with friends on Instagram.
Instagram added video feature back in June. At that time, it only allowed users to upload video by recording within app. That feature also worked great and created various milestones. In just 24 hours, more than 5 million videos were uploaded by users. But users could not upload previously recorded videos.
Now you can import videos from your phone’s gallery into Instagram and share with your friends. Instagram also has a built-in video editor that lets users trim videos and crop videos in square form.
In Android, this feature is only available for phones running on Android 4.0 or higher.
Instagram for iOS comes with an extra feature that is new automatic-straightening technology for their photos. A Straightener icon gives iPhone and iPad users to straighten pictures taken either from camera or uploaded from gallery.
This feature is also seems to be taken from Twitter’s vine. Currently Vine allow some brands to upload videos. But all users are still waiting for this. But Instagram has rolled out this feature for all users.
Instagram 4.1 app is now available to download form the App Store and Google Play Store.
