It seems that the feature will help Instagram to compete with Vine. At the time of NBA finale, users were uploading 40 hours of videos per minute.

Although, there are so many people who are criticized video on Instagram for the video feature. But initial numbers are good enough to say that the feature is going to give new dimensions to a video shaing that was difficult task for other app makers.

The number is big and can be a happy sign for the company. But when you look at the stats closely, you will find that only 3.8% users used the feature if we consider that every video was uploaded by a unique user. Instagram has 130 million users.
