LG has announced the waterproof version of Optimus G dubbed as LG Optimus Gj in Taiwan. This smartphone will go on sale next month for NT$17,990 (Approx $600 USD). But no words about global release of the smartphone.
LG Optimus GJ is water resistant smartphone with IPX5 / IPX7 certifications. It can stay undrwater up to 1 meter depth for 30 minutes.
LG Optimus GJ comes with similar hardware specification as in Optimus G. LG Optimus GJ is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It features 4.7-inch True IPS Plus HD display. It comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB Internal storage. It also has microSD card slot to expand storage up to 32 GB. It comes with 13 megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera at front.
It is packed with 2280 mAh battery.
