Gaming giant Electronic Arts has announced that it will retire few under performing Facebook games. These games are Bejeweled Blitz, Solitaire Bliz and Plants vs. Zombies adventures.

“Today we are informing players of the difficult decision to retire some of our Facebook games: The Sims Social, SimCity Social and Pet Society,” Electronic Arts announced in a blog post.

“After millions of people initially logged in to play these games, the number of players and amount of activity has fallen off. For people who have seen other recent shutdowns of social games, perhaps this is not surprising,” company added.

Company also added that in-game currency will no longer be valid after June 14. If players have bought or received gift cards, they should use them before June 14.

EA is not the only company that has shutdown the games. Back in February, Zynga has also closed CityVille 2.
