A spokesperson from Aircel has also confirmed the issue and said that dispute landed at the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on Thursday for resolution but the hearing has been deferred till Friday. No one from Vodafone commented on the issue.

So Aircel users can not send SMS to these two biggest telecom operators in India. When I tried it in Delhi, My sms was not received at Vodafone number while I was getting sms from Vodafone.

Vodafone has only blocked Aircel in selected regions including Tmailnadu, New Delhi and Karnataka. But Airtel has blocked Aircel in whole country.

Aircel customers also received messages saying that “SMS to Vodafone & Airtel numbers has been blocked by Vodafone & Airtel.”

Termination charges are the fee which has to pay by one telecom operator to other when SMS from its network goes to other network. Aircel has not paid these charges. So Its customers are not allowed to send SMS to Vodafone and Airtel network.
