“The industry continues to move and change and advance dramatically,” Ballmer said.

“Office is a service first,” Ballmer. “Office is transforming because of the new systems and operating systems and hardware it can support.”

Recently, Google has integrated Google Docs with Google Drive which. So Microsoft also integrated cloud in office suit to stop users moving to Google Docs. Google Docs has already been in the race with Microsoft office. But other tools in the office package make it winner every time. But Google Docs is attracting those users who only needs MS Word.

“Your modern Office thinks cloud first. That’s what it means to have Office as a service,” Ballmer said adding emphasis to the inclusion of cloud in Office 2013.

“The smartphone, the cloud, and everything are obviously coming together for them,” he continued explaining about office 2013.
