Apple Introduces iOS 6 at WWDC 2012

Today at WWDC, Apple has announced the latest verison of its mobile operating system. This new version iOS 6 comes with 200 new features. iOS 6 features expected Apple Maps, iOS features and deep facebook integration.

After upgrading to iOS 6, you’ll notice Facebook in default apps such as calendar, contacts and even the App Store itself. You will be able to update your location on Facebook via maos and post photos to Facebook direct from camera.

Now Siri has few more abilities. It can now pull sports info from Yahoo. Sports include Football, Baseball, Basketball, and possibly more. Those were the sports demoed. Siri has also gotten better yelp integration.

Both Twitter and Facebook notifications will now be included in the notification center, the pull-down tab on the top of the screen.

iOS 6 also has a “Do Not Disturb” feature that allow users to set iPhone in silent mode. It allows you to set for which contact it should give alert and for whoch it should not.

It also allows suers to send a pre-set feature to the caller in case you are not able to pick a call.

Safari now has iCloud tabs — which allows for browsing sessions to be synced across your devices — as well as an offline reading list. You’ll now also be able to upload photo’s right from Safari to your favorite websites.
