What is Wordle?
Wordle is a word game developed by a programmer Josh Wardle. It is a modified version of a crossword puzzle game that lets users guess a five-letter word in six attempts. The game was released in mid-October 2021 and became really popular. The game requires basic knowledge of English words.
It is also worth noting that the game uses American spelling. That means Favor is the right word in the game even if British people write it as Favour. The same goes with the word Color which is Colour in British English. You need to take care of this while playing the game.
The interesting thing about the game is that you can play just one round every 24 hours. Everyone around the world gets the same puzzle to solve and most people fail to guess the correct word.
As soon as you open the game, it shows a pop-up explaining all the rules of the game. You need to guess a word. If there’s a letter in the right place, it will turn to Green and the wrong letter will be yellow. If a letter turns grey means that letter is not in the word at any place.
Selecting the first word is really important because it opens the hints about the letters and their placements in the word.

This is a word strategy game, so different people could have a different approaches. The game basically needs a good knowledge of US English words. Keep an eye on Green and Yellow words after the first wrong guess and then try to remember new words with letter position based on the outcome of the first guess. Avoid repeating letters that turn grey in the first attempt. You only have 6 chances to guess the word and you cannot play it again until midnight and can play the game once a day. So, take your time.

The game is only available on the web and there are no apps for Android and iOS for now. The game works fine on both desktop and mobile browsers. If you see Wordle apps on Play Store or App Store, these are nothing more than the clone. The developer could bring mobile apps but we have no information if mobile apps are in the works.
