Qualcomm recently announced Snapdragon 870, a true successor to Snapdragon 865+. Snapdragon 870 will sit in between Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 865+. Snapdragon 870 is basally a slightly improved Snapdragon 865+ with not much difference.

The primary difference is in the prime CPU core. The fastest Cortex-A77 core in Snapdragon 870 is now clocked at 3.2GHz as opposed to 3.09GHz in Snapdragon 865 Plus. All other things in Snapdragon 870 are the same as in Snapdragon 865+. That’s the reason a few people also call Snapdragon 870 as Snapdragon 865++ or Snapdragon 865+ Pro.

Here’s the side by side specs comparison of Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 865 Plus. You will see everything the same.
